Electrical Safe Work Practices With High Voltage Course

This course is based on the Ontario IHSA (Infrastructure Health and Safety Association) Rule Book and CSA Z462. A full-day, in-person, course that is designed to provide participants with a good knowledge of the hazards on working with high voltage systems. Topics include but not limited to:

  • The importance of establishing an electrical safe work condition - “Turn the Power Off”
  • Electrical test instruments for both low voltage and high voltage applications
  • Provide a good understanding of detailed warning labels for arc flash and shock
  • The proper selection of electrical specific PPE.
  • Application of temporary grounds
  • Ground Gradient
  • Switching Orders
  • Electrical Incident Response and Management


Please note that this course can be customized for specific in-house applications. Utilizing in-house equipment, PPE, and various scenarios.
